Eklavya Model Residential School, Mohida Tal. Shahada is a government School run by Maharashtra Tribal Public-School Society, Tribal Development Department, Nashik. Under article 275(1) of Indian Constitution. This school is running exclusively for tribal students where food, accommodation, books, medical facilities everything is provided free of cost. Recently this school is running in Government Ashram School, Sultanpur Tal. Shahada 425 409 Dist: Nandurbar Maharashtra. EMRS MOHIDA (SHAHADA) School's building Construction is in progress in Mohida Tal. Shahada Dist. Nandurbar.
I. To provide quality modern education – including a strong component of inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education – to the talented tribal children predominantly from the rural areas without regard to their family's socio-economic condition.
II. To provide facilities, at a suitable stage, for instruction through a common medium all over the country.
III. Offer a common core-curriculum of ensuring comparability in standards and to facilitate and understanding of the common and composite heritage of tribal people.
IV. To progressively bring students from one part of the country to another in each school to promote national integration and enrich the social content.
V. To serve as a focal point for improvement in quality of school education through training of teachers in live situations and sharing of experience and facilities.
VI. To provide opportunities to students for extra-curricular activities moving towards Centre of Excellence in sports etc.
VII. To facilitate students developing pride in national culture, preserving and cherishing tribal heritage, tribal culture, music, dance and other arts.
Eklavya Model Residential Schools are running under the scheme of 275 (1) Indian Constitution by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for tribal students. State EMRS Society Alias MTPSSS, Nashik monitored , controlled and supervised this school .EMRS Mohida is one of the schools among them. We provide quality education for tribal students.
